Christian Hymns are words of adoration unto God. Many prophets in the old Testament and disciples of Jesus in the New Testament sang hymns to God. In the book of Psalms, King David wrote about 75 psalms unto God. In the Book of Revelation, the Hymn of Moses  will be sung by the 144000 disciples in Heaven. King Solomon wrote hymns unto God. King Saul also sang hymns to God.

Christian Hymns can be written by any Christian who is inspired. Inspiration can come from an experience, a need or struggle, or a deep connection with God. Christian Hymns have a way of drawing us closer to God if the words stem from our hearts. God hates lip praise.

The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught (Isaiah 29:30)

If we write a hymn, let us write from our hearts. If we sing a Christian Hymn, let us sing from out hearts. Better to write one gospel hymn from a deep connection with God, than a thousand uninspiring hymns.
